Nepal tourism and It's beauty

Nepal is a small but very naturally beautiful country. It is small in size but it has huge natural beauties such as rivers, lakes, mountains, jungles, animal reservation, zoo, temples and many more things. There is different types of cultrue and people are very friendly and helpful in Nepal.
Nepal is a landlocked country located in the northern Indian subcontinent. It lies in south centre of Asia. The Peoples Republic of China is to its north and the Republic of India to its South. It is an elongated country with India on both the narrow east and west ends as well.
Kathmandu is the capital of the Himalayan kingdom and is located near the centre of Nepal.
Nepal has a population of slightly over twenty seven million. The country depends chiefly on tourism as the mountainous country has some of the most picturesque scenery and natural beauty possible.

Everest area is situated in eastern Nepal and is expanded in the Sagarmatha National Park, established in 1976 with an area of 1148 square kilometers. The park is largely composed of the rugged terrain and gorges of the high Himalayas. Mount Everest 8848 meters (29,028ft), the highest mountain in the world, which is known in Nepal as "Sagarmatha" the goddess mother of the world, has long been the greatest attraction for nature lovers and trekkers alike. Solukhumbu, the heartland of the Everest Region and an integral part of the Himalayan mystique, thus provides a welcome destination for these adventurers.

Throughout these trekking programmes trekkers are overwhelmed with the views of unbelievable peaks, Buddhist monasteries, and friendly Sherpa villages. The local people believe that the Pangboche Monastery actually has in its possession the real scalp of this Himalayan legend Yeti. As we proceed slowly , we will have plenty of opportunity to visit monasteries and Sherpa homes of this region. Incredible views of Everest and the surrounding peaks are the inescapable fare while we ascend Kala Patthar.

People who have fully acclimatized may trek to the Everest Base Camp but without doubt, for many people the main highlight will be the magnificent views which unfold from the summit of Kalapathar - the extraordinary ice sculptures of the Khumbu Glacier, Nuptse and the south-west face of Everest itself

Pokhara is its center of adventure. An enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley; it is the starting point for many of Nepal's most popular trekking and rafting destinations. The atmosphere on the shore of Phewa Lake is one of excited vitality as hipster backpackers crowd the many bars and restaurants exchanging recommendations on guest houses and viewpoints, both by the lake and above the clouds.
Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhare (6,977 m) rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has a much more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers which prosper in its environs. Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes, and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya.

Pokhara is a part of a once vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet. To this day, mule trains can be seen camped on the outskirts of the town, bringing goods to trade from remote regions of the Himalaya. This is the land of the Magars and Gurungs, hardworking farmers and valorous warriors who have earned world-wide fame as Gurkha soldiers. The Thakalis, another important ethnic group here, are known for their entrepreneurship.

Lumbini associated with the birth of Lord Buddha is of extreme archeological importance and also a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. It is said that Prince Siddhartha Gautam, who later became Buddha the Enlightened One, was born in the gardens of Nepal's Lumbini in 623 B.C. The main shrines of Lumbini are the newly restored Mayadevi Temple, the Ashokan Pillar behind the temple and the Lake Shakya Puskarini where Mayadevi is said to have bathed before delivering the little Buddha into the world.
Several other places near Lumbini are linked with stories connected to Buddha and Buddhism. Lumbini is about 300 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. Bus and flights to Bhairawa which is about 22 kilometers from Lumbini, are available from major cities. From Bhairawa transport services to Lumbini are easily available. Food and accommodation facilities are available in Lumbini and Bhairawa.

Besides these, there are others like the Nepal Buddha Temple and the Dharmaswami Buddhist monastery. Other countries like Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, etc are also contributing to build more temples and monasteries.

Lumbini also has a museum and a research center for Buddhism. At present the Lumbini Development Trust is implementing a master plan to develop Lumbini designed, by Prof. K. Tange of Japan.

SWINE FLU

Latest Developments Updated: May 2, 2009
The World Health Organization said the number of confirmed cases of swine flu increased, but there was no evidence of a pandemic. Mexico is in a lockdown and will remain that way until May 5. Concern about the virus altered people's lives in less drastic ways, with some wondering about the safety of kisses and others modifying their behavior on public transportation.

Swine flu spread to Asia, as Hong Kong authorities announced the continent’s first case, a 25-year-old traveler who came from Mexico via Shanghai
May 1, 2009
The large number of deaths in Mexico may be in part due to the the eclectic approach to health care in the country, where large numbers of people self-prescribe antibiotics, take only homeopathic medicine, or seek out mysterious vitamin injections.
April 30, 2009
The genetic origins of the virus remained unclear, and there is not yet any genetic proof that this particular flu was ever in a pig.
April 30, 2009
The World Health Organization raised the alert level of the fast-spreading swine flu virus, indicating that a "pandemic is imminent."
April 29, 2009
Federal officials said it would take until January, or late November at the earliest, to make enough vaccine to protect all Americans from a possible epidemic, while some experts said it could take years to produce enough swine flu vaccine to satisfy global demand.
April 29, 2009
OVERVIEW
An outbreak of swine flu in Mexico has raised concerns worldwide that the disease could be emerging as a global pandemic. The World Health Organization raised the alert level of the fast-spreading virus on April 29, 2009, indicating that a "pandemic is imminent." Experts say that the virus cannot be contained by closing borders or restricting travel, even as some begin to question whether this strain of flu is very deadly.
The A (H1N1) swine flu, first diagnosed in Mexico, is believed to have killed 159 people and sickened about 2,500. Mexican authorities said that there are 358 confirmed cases of infection, and tests are continuing to determine whether recent deaths due to respiratory ailments are attributable to the flu. The only death outside of Mexico has been a 22-month-old Mexican boy who died in Texas.
On April 30, the W.H.O. said that it would stop referring to the virus as swine flu, opting for the less loaded A(H1N1).

Influenza

Influenza Symptoms
Influenza (commonly called the “flu”) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. The information below describes common flu symptoms, how to protect yourself and those close to you from getting the flu, and what to do if you get sick with flu-like symptoms.
Be Aware of Common Flu Symptoms
Influenza usually starts suddenly and may include the following symptoms:
Fever (usually high)
Headache
Tiredness (can be extreme)
Cough
Sore throat
Runny or stuffy nose
Body aches
Diarrhea and vomiting (more common among children than adults)
Having these symptoms does not always mean that you have the flu. Many different illnesses, including the common cold, can have similar symptoms.
Diagnosing the Flu
It is very difficult to distinguish the flu from other infections on the basis of symptoms alone. A doctor's exam may be needed to tell whether you have developed the flu or a complication of the flu. There are tests that can determine if you have the flu as long you are tested within the first 2 or 3 days of illness.
If you develop flu-like symptoms and are concerned about your illness, especially if are at high risk for complications of the flu, you should consult your healthcare provider. Those at high risk for complications include people 65 years or older, people with chronic medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), pregnant women, and young children.
Know the Risks from the Flu
In some people, the flu can cause serious complications, including bacterial pneumonia, dehydration, and worsening of chronic medical conditions, such as congestive heart failure, asthma or diabetes. Children and adults may develop sinus problems and ear infections.

benchmark - A standard program or set of programs which can be run on different computers to give an inaccurate measure of their performance.

"In the computer industry, there are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and benchmarks."

A benchmark may attempt to indicate the overall power of a system by including a "typical" mixture of programs or it may attempt to measure more specific aspects of performance, like graphics, I/O or computation (integer or floating-point). Others measure specific tasks like rendering polygons, reading and writing files or performing operations on matrices. The most useful kind of benchmark is one which is tailored to a user's own typical tasks. While no one benchmark can fully characterise overall system performance, the results of a variety of realistic benchmarks can give valuable insight into expected real performance.

Benchmarks should be carefully interpreted, you should know exactly which benchmark was run (name, version); exactly what configuration was it run on (CPU, memory, compiler options, single user/multi-user, peripherals, network); how does the benchmark relate to your workload?

laser hair removal

Temporary hair removal is accomplished with conventional treatments such as shaving, waxing and epilation. Another method is the use of selective photolysis, which is light energy that is produced by the laser, and is targeted at the pigment in hair. This causes destruction of hair follicles while sparing surrounding structures (i.e., the skin).

Long lasting hair removal can be achieved with the use of several available lasers. Total temporary hair removal, which lasts for several months, can be done in almost all patients. However, total permanent laser hair removal is not commonly done. Stable permanent hair removal may be possible in some cases and usually requires multiple treatment sessions.

Laser hair removal can be mild to moderately uncomfortable. Each individual hair follicle is surrounded by nerve endings. While some patients may be able to tolerate the procedure without the use of an anesthetic, others may find the application of an anesthetic cream (such as EMLA) helpful. A generous layer of anesthetic cream is applied for 30-60 minutes before the procedure and can provide adequate relief from discomfort during the procedure. For satisfactory, long-lasting hair removal most patients require three to six treatments. The interval between treatments varies between 4 and 12 weeks, and will depend on your hair color, the type of laser used, and the location treated. Fortunately, the complications of laser hair removal are rare if it’s done by an experienced and skilled physician. You should expect a certain degree of pain, swelling and redness around the hair follicle after each treatment session. These symptoms resolve over the following 24 hours and include:

    - Pigment alteration: Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin next to the treated area has been reported in 5% of patients and is sometimes seen in darker skinned individuals. Strict sun avoidance is recommended. Hypopigmentation, or lightening of the surrounding skin, has also been reported. These adverse effects are usually temporary. Alteration in underlying pigments is also a risk, especially when Q-switched lasers are used.
    - Infection: Bacterial infections are rare and occur when the superficial skin is injured. Antibiotic treatment may be prescribed, but generally good wound care is sufficient to prevent infection. If you have had prior episodes of cold sores or herpes simplex infections, you may develop a recurrent episode after a laser treatment. If you have a history of herpes simplex infections, your doctor should prescribe appropriate antiviral medication prior to laser hair removal to prevent a recurrent herpes episode.
    - Scarring may rarely occur and generally follows an infection or superficial skin injury.

Laser hair removal can be performed on virtually any hair bearing part of your body including your arms, legs, bikini area, back, etc.

Hair removal laser treatment in Washington

In Washington State DC, many people are in favor of taking laser treatment for removal of hair from unwanted facial parts and haired body parts, as it is a quite suitable and comfortable technique. Unwanted hairs from the targeted body parts can be easily removed by the proper selection of laser and making correct laser settings. In Washington State DC, this treatment gives the best possible results, as it is a non-invasive method that helps permanently immobilize the hair makeup, without affecting the upper skin layer. Through laser treatment, abundant hair follicles are treated simultaneously giving wider coverage in hair removal. Also, the laser treatment offered in Washington DC specializes in easy removal of single hair follicles, to enhance the treatment capability in smaller targeted areas.

The usual techniques used in hair removal are waxing, electrolysis, shaving of skin, tweezing and application of hair removal lotions and creams. These all are efficient in their proficiencies, but there is no comparison to latest laser treatment technique. As every entity has some merits and demerits, the older laser treatments were no exception to it. Previously used laser were not well suited to the wide range of people having different hair colors. Also, the older versions of laser hair removal techniques in Washington DC had limitations on being effective and safe on shorter range of people. Numerous people in Washington DC at that time experienced burns and scarring in hands, due to wrongful usage of device on sensitive skin pigments. But, today's laser technique employing corrective usage of the cooling device has overcome all previous drawbacks. In Washington DC, FDA defined permanent hair reduction as the long-standing stable decrease in hair re-growth process after having scheduled treatment. This objective was fulfilled by the latest laser hair removal therapy, and is now used in almost every part of United States.
Things to Remember:
An individual needs to have certain things in mind, before availing the laser hair removal techniques. Take a note that laser treatment is efficient only on darker hair tones. Gray, peach fuzz hair, blond and red hair tones cannot be removed by laser treatment. In such a case, an individual can opt for waxing or electrolysis therapy. Have a check on the tanned skin during the laser treatment, as it might place adverse consequences on an individual. For better results of laser treatment, it is recommended to shave the required skin part on the treatment day.

home loan

Homeowner loans can be quite complicated for some people but really they aren’t any more difficult than a regular personal loan. It doesn’t really differ in any way except for the use of collateral which makes it a ’secured loan’ as opposed to a ‘unsecured loan’. With an secured personal loan you stand to lose whatever it is you are using as an asset. In the case of a homeowner loan this would of course be your home.
If you successfully apply for and receive a homeowner loan you are basically entering into a bet with the loan company. You are saying to them that ‘I guarantee that I can make the repayments or you can sell my home to get your money back’. A homeowner loan is a very serious business to enter into especially if there is any chance at all that you may not be able to make the monthly payments.
I know, it doesn’t make homeowner loans sound very attractive does it? So what is the point of a homeowner loan?
Loan companies love giving people homeowner loans. These companies, like all companies are in the business of making money. The higher the chance of them receiving the money they are owed by you the more likely they are to lend you money as well as possibly awarding you a lower rate apr.
This is a preview of The Ups and Downs of a Homeowner Loan. Read the full post (435 words, estimated 1:44 mins reading time)

tips for skin care

For Black Spots

For pimples

take care of heart yourself

Self-Care at Home

If you think you are having a heart attack, seek help immediately. Do not ignore chest pain or discomfort. Time is of vital importance. Call 911 for emergency transport to the hospital. Do not try to drive yourself or being driven by someone else.

If you have regular-strength or baby aspirin available and you are not strongly allergic, chew and swallow 1 regular aspirin or 2 baby aspirins.

  • At this dose, aspirin may help maintain blood flow through a clot-filled artery by inhibiting blood clotting.
  • Chewing gets the aspirin into your system faster than swallowing it whole.

If you have had angina and been given nitroglycerin, take as recommended by your health care provider. Exact instructions will depend on the form of the nitroglycerin.

If you have had a heart attack before, or if you have several risk factors, the following steps may help prevent heart attacks and save you from severe disability or even death.

  • Take a low-dose aspirin tablet (160 or 325 mg) every day. Aspirin increases the risk of bleeding in some people. Ask your health care provider before taking daily aspirin.
  • If you smoke, quit. This is the single best lifestyle change you can make. After 3 years of not smoking, the risk of heart disease drops to the level of a nonsmoker. Your health care provider can help you quit smoking through behavioral changes, medications, or use of nicotine replacement products.
  • Lower the cholesterol level in your blood. Lowering your cholesterol, especially the level of "bad" LDL cholesterol, keeps plaques from building up in the coronary arteries. The total cholesterol level should be kept below 200 mg/dL, and the LDL cholesterol level below 130 mg/dL (under 100 mg/dL in those with known heart disease or diabetes). Some people are able to control their cholesterol level by changing what they eat; others require medication.
  • Keep your intake of calories from fat under 30% of your total calories. This translates to an intake of less than 60 grams of fat per day for an adult. Most diets in Western countries contain more fat than is recommended.
  • Control blood pressure. Uncontrolled high blood pressure is one of the most common causes of heart disease.
  • Control diabetes carefully. Uncontrolled diabetes increases your risk of heart disease, heart attacks, and circulation problems.

physical fitness

Physical fitness is used in two close meanings: general fitness (a state of health and well-being) and specific fitness (a task-oriented definition based on the ability to perform specific aspects of sports or occupations).

Physical fitness is the functioning of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, and muscles at optimum efficiency. In previous years, fitness was defined as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue. Automation increased leisure time, and changes in lifestyles following the industrial revolution meant this criterion was no longer sufficient. Optimum efficiency is the key. Physical fitness is now defined as the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases, and to meet emergency situations. Fitness can also be divided into five categories: aerobic fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

You will then be matched with the companies best able to meet your need. You will receive quotes usually by email or return phone calls for up to five companies. Even if you have been denied because of pre-existing conditions, every attempt will be made to locate a company that will provide you with insurance.
Get an affordable medical health insurance plan tailored to your family's needs!
Many people are dismayed by what seems to be the high cost of their individual health insurance. You need to be prepared for the fact that true major medical (not just discount plans) may be less affordable from your prospective than group insurance. While you were working, you company paid 50 to 70 percent—and maybe even more—of your health insurance premium. When purchasing private insurance, you will have to pay the entire premium, and the company will increase your rate based on age and pre-existing conditions. However, there are other options such as HSA plans, high deductibles, net-work health insurance like HMOs and so forth that may help you keep your premiums lower than an average major medical policy.
Everyone wants inexpensive individual health insurance; however, be aware that if a plan seems “cheap,” you may take your card to the doctor only to find out that he won’t accept it. Also, you might end up with a discount only plan, or a plan that just pays you back for a pre-defined amount regardless of what you pay. If you are not eligible for creditable coverage (the term used for real insurance), another health care plan may be your only choice, but doctors and hospitals will provide better care if you have true health insurance

primary pulmonary hypertention

What is primary pulmonary hypertension (or unexplained pulmonary hypertension)?
Primary or unexplained pulmonary hypertension (PPH) is a rare lung disorder in which the blood pressure in the pulmonary artery rises far above normal levels for no apparent reason. The pulmonary artery is a blood vessel carrying oxygen-poor blood from the right ventricle (one of the heart's pumping chambers) to the lungs. In the lungs, the blood picks up oxygen, then flows to the heart's left side, where the left ventricle pumps it to the rest of the body through the aorta.
Hypertension is a medical term for abnormally high blood pressure. Normal average (also called "mean") pulmonary artery pressure is about 14 mm Hg at rest. In patients with PPH, the average blood pressure in the pulmonary artery is greater than 25 mm Hg at rest and greater than 30 mm Hg during exercise. This abnormally high pressure (pulmonary hypertension) is linked with changes in the small blood vessels in the lungs. These changes increase resistance to blood flowing through the vessels. This increased resistance puts a strain on the right ventricle, which now must work harder than usual to move enough blood through the lungs.
In the United States, an estimated 500 to 1,000 new cases of primary pulmonary hypertension are diagnosed each year.
The greatest number is reported in women between ages 20 and 40. However, men and women in all age ranges — as well as very young children — can develop PPH.
What causes primary pulmonary hypertension?
We don't know the cause; there may be one or more causes. The low incidence makes learning more about the disease extremely difficult. Studies of PPH also have been difficult because a good animal model of the disease hasn't been available. We think that in most people who develop primary pulmonary hypertension, the blood vessels are very sensitive to certain factors that trigger this disease to develop.
For example, people with Raynaud's syndrome seem more likely than others to develop PPH.
In addition, appetite suppressants, cocaine and HIV are some factors believed to trigger the constriction, or narrowing, of the pulmonary artery.

Laser Hair Therapy

Laser Hair Therapy
New FDA-Approved Laser Hair Therapy for Treating Hair Loss - Now Available at Hair Replacement NYC at FaceStation Salon. childlabour in Nepal

Children under 15 comprise 40% of Nepal's total population. Children, especially girls, are among the most marginalised members of the society and are particularly vulnerable to poverty and exploitation. More than 600,000 primary school-age children do not attend school. Less than half of the school-going children complete primary schooling and only 10% of those entering grade one reach grade ten. The situation of girls is much worse. The gross school enrolment ratio of girls is 113 at primary and 37 at secondary levels as against 130 and 50 for boys. Violent conflict has further affected the right to education of many children, especially from the poor families of the rural areas.Over 127,000 children are engaged in worst forms of child labour according to the International Labour Organisation.
Trafficking in children for prostitution is increasing. An estimated 1,000 to 1,500 girl children are trafficked to Indian cities for commercial sexual exploitation every year. Thousands of other children are trafficked to different exploitative labour sectors, such as circuses, carpet industry and domestic work. The number of orphaned children has significantly increased as a direct result of the violent conflict. Because of the effects of the conflict, including physical risk, migration or death of adult family members, a large number of children are forced to move to towns and cities. There they often end up in the streets facing different kinds of exploitations including sexual abuse. Many of them become involved in drug abuse and the sex trade, making them extremely vulnerable to HIV infection. Engagement of children in armed conflict has significantly increased in the past few years, which is a gross violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Make healthy heart and make your life healthy

Here are ten easy steps to better heart health:
1. Stop smoking. Nourish yourself with a handful of sunflower seeds and a cup of nettle or oat straw infusion daily for 4 to 6 weeks before quitting. Sunflower seeds reduce the body’s craving for nicotine by filling the nicotine receptor sites. The infusions strengthen blood vessels and nerves and cushions the impact of withdrawal.
2. Touch and be touched. Many scientific studies have shown that people who were touched lovingly every day had significantly fewer heart problems than the control group.
3. Eat seaweeds. They have been shown to stabilize blood pressure, regulate levels of triglycerides, phospholipids and cholesterols, they dissolve fatty build-ups in the blood vessels, they can restore cardiac efficiency and prolong the life of the heart muscle, and they encourage a steady heart beat.
4. Eat foods rich in beta-carotenes: they can cut your risk of a stroke by 40 percent. Foods rich in beta-carotenes include carrots, cabbage, winter squash, sweet potatoes, dark leafy greens, apricots, and seaweed. (We try to include a few beta-carotene rich recipes in every issue of Eat Well Naturally and Green Cuisine.)
5. Eat garlic. Study after study has confirmed garlic’s abilities to lower blood pressure, reduce phospholipids and cholesterol, strengthen heart action, increase immune response, reduce platelet clumping and clotting (thus reducing strokes) and stabilize blood sugar levels. Eat garlic raw or lightly cooked, several cloves a day.
6. Eat foods rich in essential fatty acids. Fresh pressed oils of wheat germ or flax seed are especially nourishing.
7. Drink lemon balm tea. It is so strengthening to the heart that there’s an old saying about it: “Those who drink lemon balm tea daily will live forever!” You can also steep a handful of fresh leaves in a glass of white wine for an hour or so and drink it with dinner. Or make lemon balm vinegar to use on your salads.
8. Move! Go for a walk, jump rope, swim, or do leg lifts and arm raises from your bed or wheelchair: however you can do it, do it! Regular exercise is key.
9. Avoid restrictive diets. Frequent dieting, fasting, binging and purging imbalance your electrolyte levels, causing weakening of the heart muscle and damage to the heart.
10. Eat as much as you want of: whole grains, vegetables, beans, greens, fruits, fish, seeds, and yogurt. Go easy on: nuts, cheese, and milk.

(max 250 characters) April 2009 The current US recession is already longer than all but two since World War II and deeper than any since the Great Depression. And an avalanche of increasingly dismal economic assessments from most parts of the world points to the global economic crisis deepening during 2009 and possibly beyond. Before 2007, the US economy had grown in 23 of the past 25 years. During this period of sustained economic growth, the United States attracted record numbers of new immigrants. The US foreign-born population quadrupled from 9.6 million in 1970 to about 38.1 million in 2007. More than 1 million immigrants have entered the United States legally each year for much of the past decade. About another half a million have typically entered illegally each year. Immigration flows to the United States have noticeably slowed in the last year, raising fundamental questions for policymakers and analysts about the effect the current economic crisis is having on inflows and return migration. These questions appear particularly daunting because there has been no comparable crisis in recent memory. To examine the recession's potential impact on these flows, we carefully combine analysis of the most recent data with a nuanced understanding of the motivations and likely behavior of immigrants, America's immigration history, and a degree of professional judgment.

SUCCESSFUL LIFE

W E L C O M E ... to your new life. On this website, you will find information about how to transform your life and impact everyone around you to a level that you have previously only dreamed of - not only a more SUCCESSFUL LIFE... but a simpler, fun, worthwhile, profitable, freeing type of a SUCCESSFUL LIFE. Please tell everyone you know - family, friends, acquaintances - to visit this site and discover how to achieve this seemingly unattainable goal. All you have to do is read this page and you'll know if this information is for you.
You have Unlimited Potential ...
Just as an atom has unlimited energy potential lying hidden within it, so does every person on this planet have unlimited potential lying hidden with themselves. The planning, building, and operating of a nuclear power plant to harness this incredible energy from a single atom however, is a difficult, long, costly and very complex process. But for those that are willing, for the individual person who is tired of excuses, who is ready and prepared to unleash themselves and achieve their potential, this process is not difficult, long or costly. In fact, it is not difficult at all.
There are no accidents in life...
There's a reason you're here on this website. You may have been referred by a friend, or you may have gotten an invitation. You may have even just found us while doing an internet search. However you found this website, it's because you were ready to accept the information. Perhaps you've heard the saying "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear".

SELFCONFIDENCE BUILDING

"Without Healthy Self-Esteem,You Could Have 'Everything' ButYour Life Could Still Be A Wreck"Real Self-Esteem Now! and Real Self-Esteem Now! (9-13) are, by far, the most important programs we offer......because who you believe you are is the foundation for everything you will do and experience in your lifetime. ...because you evaluate all you see and do through "self-esteem-colored" glasses.I have clients who are multi-millionaires, admired, famous, attractive, powerful...But in spite of all their outer "success," many have felt unfulfilled, empty, unworthy of their accomplishments... in therapy and on heavy anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. You see, the outer stuff does not and can not give you a truly healthy self-image. Nor can it give you happiness or peace of mind.
And in so many ways, a poor self image can literally prevent you from achieving and even setting goals that could make your life an accomplishment-filled wondrous adventure.
Your self-esteem is an ever flowing reflection of what you think about yourself on the inside and what you do on the outside.
And without high (or healthy) self-esteem, you could have many types of outer success and lucky breaks, but be one tragedy or mishap away from a complete emotional breakdown... even suicide. You may not even be a person that many people enjoy being around.
Ideally, a healthy self-image should begin development when we're children. But few of us get this critical training from anyone skilled at teaching it. So almost everyone you'll ever meet has tremendous deficiencies when it comes to how they see themselves... and their actions reflect it.
Dear Mike,I can’t thank you enough for providing the resources to turn my life around and I thank God for leading me to your website!! I purchased and have been listening to your “Real Self Esteem”, CD for the past several months and WOW, I feel like I have my life back and it’s better than it has ever been.Three years ago, I left a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship. After being married for 24 years, I finally decided that if I didn’t make a change in my life, the stress, anxiety and fear would have me debilitated before my 45th birthday. I had been seeing counselors to try to help be able to accept myself as a worthwhile human being, to help me free myself from the fear and anxiety that I still felt but didn’t understand. I wanted to be able to make a decision without the repercussions of always being wrong. One day I was searching for information on self esteem and I found your web site. What a blessing!! I made a decision to purchase the CD and it was definitely the right decision.I started listening to the “Self Esteem” CD first and the first three nights. The anxiety went away and I relaxed. Deep down, I must have had a strong desire to want to change my life. I listened every night and never told anyone about it. After about a month with the CDs, close friends and family began making comments to me about how they saw positive changes in me. I began to communicate with others rather than sitting quietly and never talking and I was confident and stood tall. I continue to listen to your CDs at night and I feel like a whole person again. I am not afraid to be around other people one on one, in small groups or in large groups. In fact I have joined a civic organization and actually look forward to going to meetings and events rather than dreading them and getting nervous as I did before. I have been freed to talk about my situation and help others in similar relationships. I have set goals for myself, starting with small ones first and it is amazing to me how I am being able to accomplish them and find success that I never believed was possible for me. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that these CD’s are incredible. Thank you Mike! You have helped me and many others get their lives back and find peace within themselves. I think, feel and act differently than I have in a long time and I am happier than I have ever been. This is a wonderful experience! Pam C., Minnesota

healthy food

Eating is one the most important events in everyone’s life. We enjoy eating - it’s part of who we are and part of our culture; in fact, eating is the hottest universal topic of all times. We depend on eating: the foods we eat are the sole source of our energy and nutrition. We know so much about eating: we are born with the desire to eat and grown up with rich traditions of eating. But we also know so little about eating - about how the foods we eat everyday affect our health. We are more confused than ever about the link between diet and health: margarine is healthier than butter or not; a little alcohol will keep heart attacks at bay but cause breast cancer; dietary vitamin antioxidants can prevent lung cancer or can not. Eating is a paradox and a mystery that our ancestors tried and modern scientists are trying to solve.Read the rest of this entry »

Career Spotlight: Hospitality IndustryBy Paul A. GreenbergEmployment Writer
Hospitality remains the major industry in New Orleans, even as the city is still recovering from the 2005 hurricanes. Having just come off of Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras and the NBA All-Star weekend, it is clear that New Orleans still knows how to welcome visitors and create an unparalleled experience.
With that said, career possibilities are rich, in entities related to hospitality. From hotels, restaurants and inns, to tour companies, catering companies and destination venues (museums, tourist attractions, shopping districts, etc.) the variety of job possibilities in the hospitality industry seems almost never-ending.
Still, most jobs in the industry share several common elements. First, hospitality workers most often deal with tourists, so the variables constantly change. People who do this type of work must have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to readily communicate with people of different nationalities, varying ages, race and ethnic groups, and find a way to please them all. Depending on the type of job one does within the hospitality industry, the work can be rather high pressure and demanding.

Have you ever dreamed of having a career in the hospitality industry? Ivone Marques of Funchal, Madeira, Portugal did-and, with a lot of hard work, she made it come true.

On April 5, 1999, she and 11 other people started a Hotel Management Course offered by the American Hotel & Motel Educational Institute, the first and only one of its type in the country.
"It was so detailed that we actually went throughout every department in the hotel," she says.
The course consisted of 12 modules, with two modules every six months. At the end of each module there was an exam, where students had to have 69% correct or more in order to pass. Courses ranged from "An introduction to the Tourism Industry" to Food and Beverage Management, the one that Ivone was personally interested in.
"We had practical lessons and theory lessons," she says. "Our practical lessons were in the actual working departments, where we started off in the kitchen doing various tasks, and so on throughout all the other Departments of the Savoy Hotel. Our theory lessons were with various Managers and Directors from the Hotel, and tutors from outside the hotel. It all involved a lot of work, lots of reading especially!"
But, in February, 2002, Ivone and 8 others finished the class and began their careers in the hospitality industry. Today, in such a very short time, this talented woman is working at the Royal Savoy Resort at the Assistant Restaurant Manager for the Armada Restaurant, an innovative fusion cuisine style dining facility, where the theme is "east meets west."
"Now I have the pleasure to meet and serve interesting people from different parts of the world," Ivone says with a smile.
And her clients enjoy having her there to answer questions they may have about the menu. We were particularly interested in the innovative menu at the Armada because it had stories about Portuguese explorers. When we asked about it, we were pleased to learn that Ivone had worked on the project to help create it.
Here's just one of the quotes that we enjoyed reading as we looked over the menu.
"The bold sailors of Portugal had not seen land since leaving the Cape Verde Islands. The days turned into weeks, then months, until on November 4, after 93 days in the open sea, th
